At Least 341 Aid Workers Killed in Israeli Attacks Since Start of Gaza Genocide: UN
Gaza (Quds News Network)- At least 341 aid workers have been killed in Israeli assaults since the start of the Israeli genocide war in Gaza, Stephane Dujarric, the spokesperson for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, said.
“Israeli air strikes killed four humanitarian workers, three from World Central Kitchen and one from Save the Children, raising the total number of aid workers killed since October of last year to 341,” Dujarric said during a media briefing, citing figures from the UN’s Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
He added that “our humanitarian partners are also warning that local food systems have been devastated by military ground operations, the bombardment of civilian areas and the presence of unexploded ordnance”.
Nowhere in Gaza Is safe
Nowhere in Gaza is safe neither for civilians nor for those trying to provide them with essential aid.
Israel’s blatant disregard for the protection of Gaza’s medical facilities or humanitarian workers has made the provision of care and lifesaving assistance an almost impossible task.
On November 30, an Israeli airstrike killed 14 people while receiving flour south of Khan Younis city. Among the victims was Save the Children staff member Ahmad Faisal Isleem Al-Qadi, 39, as he was returning from the mosque for his wife and three-year-old daughter. Al-Qadi, who was deaf, is the second Save the Children member killed in Gaza since the Israeli genocidal war began.
Earlier the same day, an Israeli airstrike targeted a World Central Kitchen (WCK) vehicle as it transported food supplies along Salah Al-Din Street in Khan Younis. The strike killed three workers from the international NGO without any prior warning.
