Gaza (Quds News Network)- The Health Ministry announced on Sunday that the total number of victims of Israeli attacks since October 7, 2023, has risen to 50,021.
In a statement on Telegram, the ministry also reported that the number of injured Palestinians has reached 113,274.
The ministry added that 233 victims were recently included in the cumulative death toll. These victims’ data were completed and approved by the judicial committee overseeing notifications and missing persons.
Since Israel resumed its genocide in Gaza on March 18, 2025, 673 Palestinians have been killed, and 1,233 others have been injured, according to the ministry’s figures.
Authorities estimate that thousands more may have perished under the rubble of destroyed buildings. Heavy machinery is unavailable to retrieve many of these bodies.
The ongoing genocide continues to take a devastating toll on Gaza’s population, with efforts to provide aid and recovery facing significant challenges due to Israel’s blockade and destruction.
Israeli human rights group B'Tselem's executive director, Yuli Novak, said: “The Israeli regime has turned its prisons into a network of torture camps for Palestinians, as part of a coordinated onslaught intended to destroy Palestinian society as a collective.”
Israel says it will open the Rafah crossing only for individuals and under full Israeli control, while continuing to block the entry of aid and goods into Gaza, tying any broader opening to the recovery of an Israeli soldier’s body despite the ceasefire terms.
US Attorney General Pam Bondi says the Justice Department will seek the death penalty for Elias Rodriguez after an incident against former Israeli soldiers at the Israeli Embassy in Washington, a move she announced at a Florida Zionist conference while framing the case within a broader crackdown on alleged ‘antisemitism’ .
