50 Palestinian prisoners start open-ended hunger strike behind Israeli bars

On Friday, October 6, 50 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails who were transferred from Ramon to Nafha prisons began their open-ended hunger strike in protest of their Arbitrary transfer.
A statement issued by the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) and Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission said that 50 detainees who were transferred from Ramon to Nafha Prison submitted a letter this morning to the Prison Administration announcing their decision to embark on an open hunger strike, starting today.
This came in protest against their arbitrary transfer and collective isolation in Section 10 of Nafha Prison in harsh conditions.
