Video| Part of Israel’s apartheid wall collapses in occupied Jerusalem
Occupied Jerusalem (QNN)- Part of Israel’s apartheid wall has suddenly collapsed in the Al-Ram town, north of occupied Jerusalem, on Friday.
Video footage of the collapsing went viral on Twitter after many Palestinians and pro-palestinian advocates have been celebrating and sharing the video, saying the mother nature resists Israel’s apartheid and the apartheid wall has just read Amnesty International’s new report on Israel’s apartheid against Palestinians and is enforcing the recommendations itself.

In June 2002, ‘Israel’ started constructing the wall, slicing through Palestinian communities, agricultural fields, and farmland at the height of the second Intifada, claiming that it was necessary for security.
The Palestinians have decried it as an Israeli mechanism to annex Palestinian territory as it is built deep within the West Bank and not along the 1967 Green Line, the generally recognised boundary between ‘Israel’ and the West Bank.
The wall, which has drawn international condemnation, cuts deep into Palestinian territory and has resulted in the confiscation of large swathes of fertile Palestinian land, the ghettoisation of Palestinian towns and villages, and has cut off thousands of Palestinians from social services, schools, and farmland.
In some places, the apartheid wall runs along the Green Line, but most of its route lies inside the West Bank – sometimes by many kilometres (when completed, the wall will be more than double the length of the 340 km-long Green Line).
On July 9, 2004, the International Court of Justice ruled that construction of the wall was “contrary to international law” because it involves the destruction and confiscation of Palestinian property and imposes severe restrictions on Palestinian movement.
Further, the Court stated that ‘Israel’ must “cease forthwith the works of construction of the wall being built in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, including in, and around East Jerusalem,” return seized property and compensate Palestinian landowners whose interests have been damaged by its construction.
The construction of the wall within the West Bank has violated multiple human rights of the Palestinians who live on either side of it. Among other things, it curtails their freedom of movement, consequently impinging upon their rights to work, education, medical care, family life, earning a living and an adequate standard of living.
The Palestinians’ collective right to self-determination is also violated, as the winding route of the wall cuts into Palestinian space and breaks up the population living there.
