313 Israeli demolitions during 2020’s first half

Ramallah (QNN)- A new report by the Committee against the Wall and the settlements revealed that the occupation state has carried out 313 demolitions in the West Bank during the first half of 2020, 64% of them took place in Jerusalem and Hebron.
The report, which covers the Israeli violations against the Palestinian people during the first half of 2020, revealed that the Israeli authorities issued several demolishing and evacuation notices for native Palestinians under the pretexts of announcing the area a military zone or nature reserve.
It added that the Israelis issued 129 notices that led to the expulsion of 737 Palestinians.
The report also registered 419 settler attacks that caused 78 injuries, vandalism of 1100 donums, uprooting and burning over 3000 trees, and vandalism of 78 vehicles. Most attacks took place in Jerusalem, Nablus, and Hebron with over 60% of the settlers’ attacks.
It added that the Israeli government, as well as other legislative institutions in the occupation state, proposed draft laws that aim to enhance the Israeli colonial project in Palestine. The Israeli Ministry of Construction and Housing has published 52 tenders during the first half of 2020, which included the construction of thousands of settlement units on Palestinian lands.
