250,000 Palestinians attend last Friday prayers of Ramadan at Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque

Occupied Jerusalem (QNN)- Hundreds of thousands of Palestinian worshipers performed today the Friday prayers on the fourth and last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan at the al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem.

Jerusalem’s Islamic Waqf confirmed that 250,000 worshipers performed the fourth and last Friday prayers of the holy month of Ramadan at the mosque today.

The Waqf noted that Palestinians from the occupied West Bank, 1948-occupied Palestine, and occupied Jerusalem succeeded in reaching the holy site and attending the Friday sermon and prayers.

Today is the 23rd day of the Muslim holy month and last Friday.

Ahead of the prayers, large numbers of well-armed Israeli occupation soldiers deployed in the streets of the occupied city and at the mosque’s gates and in its vicinity.

The forces obstructed the movement of the worshipers to the mosque, prevented others from reaching the site to attend the prayers, and searched dozens, local sources reported.

The mosque has been under aggressive Israeli assaults for three consecutive nights as Israeli occupation forces raided the holy site after the Taraweeh prayers, forcibly expelled Palestinian worshipers from the mosque and brutally attacked and arrested dozens of them while they were observing the month of Ramadan and gathered for night prayers and I’tikaf.
