Skyline International: Facebook’s actions against Palestinian pages undermine freedom of speech

Madrid (QNN)- Skyline International for Human Rights said that the actions taken by Facebook against Palestinian pages and accounts would undermine freedom of speech and violate one of the most important human rights.

The group said in a statement issued on Wednesday that Facebook has recently threatened to block several pages and already blocked some of them and removed posts on Palestine, violating freedom of speech.

The Facebook page of QNN Arabic, among other pages like Taqaddumi and Bawwabat Al Hadaf News, has been threatened to be blocked.

Facebook has already committed 16 violations against Palestinian pages and accounts last month.

The group called on Facebook to take a serious look at the reports, which are being made against Palestinian pages, and which are usually based on political reasons. It also urged Facebook to make its policies regarding blocking pages and accounts public and clear and not to adopt using vague terms.
