16,456 Palestinian children killed in Israeli genocide war in Gaza: Media office
Gaza (Quds News Network)- 16,456 Palestinian children have been killed by Israel since the start of the ongoing genocide war in Gaza on October 7, according to the Government Media Office in Gaza.
According to the toll released on the 311th day of the Israeli war in Gaza on Monday, in 3,486 attacks carried out by the Israeli forces, 39,897 people have been killed, 16,456 of them children and 11,088 women.
It also said at least 885 medical staff, 168 journalists and 79 civil defense members have been killed in the Israeli strikes.
South Africa has taken Israel to the International Court of Justice, accusing it of committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza – and around 13 other countries have backed the case.
In a March report, the special rapporteur on human rights in the occupied Palestinian territory, Francesca Albanese, said there were “grounds to believe that the threshold indicating the commission of the crime of genocide… has been met”.
