16 Palestinians killed by Israeli forces and settlers in August so far

Occupied Palestije (QNN)- Sixteen Palestinians have been killed by Israeli occupation forces and settlers in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem in August so far, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

At least 220 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces and settlers in the occupied West Bank, Jerusalem, and Gaza Strip since the start of 2023.

The Health Ministry has identified the sixteen Palestinian martyrs as:

Zaarir, 15, was fatally shot by Israeli forces near the illegal Israeli settlement of Shim’a close to Hebron. He was one of the top students in his class and had just finished the 9th grade.

Mazar’a, 20, was killed by Israeli forces over allegedly carrying out a shooting operation in the illegal settlement of Maale Adumim. The operation came amid a spike in Israeli attacks against Palestinians.

Abu Saan, 18, was shot by Israeli forces in the head at point blank range and was later pronounced dead at the hospital during a military raid at the Nour Shams refugee camp.

Mu’tan, 19, was fatally shot in the neck in cold blood by Israeli settlers who attacked the village of Burqa, southeast of Ramallah.

Israeli forces killed the three Palestinians after firing dozens of bullets at a vehicle they were in near Arraba town, southwest of Jenin, before withholding their bodies and the vehicle.

Hamed, 17, was shot on August 4 by an Israeli settler while sitting in a car near the Ofra illegal settlement in Silwad. Hamed was hit with two bullets, in the chest and stomach and died from his wounds in a hospital.

Khalifa, 27, was fatally shot by Israeli forces with two bullets during a military raid into Zawata town, northwest of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank.

Jarad, 23, was shot in the chest and killed by Israeli forces during a military raid into the Tulkarm camp. The youth was reportedly first admitted to a nearby hospital in critical condition before he was announced dead of his wounds.

Al-Walaji, 16, and al-Omar, 25, were fatally shot with live bullets by Israeli forces during a military raid into Aqabat Jaber refugee camp in the occupied West Bank city of Jericho.

Al-Kastouni, 32, was shot by Israeli forces in the head, chest and abdomen, after a large Israeli army unit raided Jenin in the early hours.

Abu Sneineh, 30, was shot and seriously injured by Israeli gunfire when large numbers of Israeli occupation forces broke into the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque while thousands of worshipers were attending the Taraweeh prayers during the holy month of Ramadan on May 7, 2021. He succumbed to his wounds on August 17, 2023.

Abu Asab, 19, was shot in the head and seriously injured by Israeli forces with live bullets during an Israeli dawn raid on the Balata refugee camp on August 16. He died of his wounds on August 19.

Abu Kharj, 17, was fatally shot in the head by Israeli forces with a live bullet during an Israeli dawn raid into the town of Al-Zababdeh, in the north of the West Bank.
