15 children among 41 people killed in ongoing Israeli airstrikes on Gaza
Gaza Strip (QNN)- 15 children have been killed in the ongoing Israeli airstrikes on the besieged Gaza Strip which continue for a third day, the Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed.
The death toll from the Israeli bombardment of Gaza has risen to 41, including 15 children; more than 311 people have been injured, including at least 100 children, all under the age of 18.
The Gaza target bank of Israeli occupation is indeed children. In 2021 alone, 86 Palestinian children were killed in the Occupied Palestinian Territory by Israeli occupation, including 69 Palestinian children in the Gaza Strip, making 2021 the deadliest year on record for Palestinian children since 2014.
During its 11-day aggression on the Gaza Strip in May 2021, Israeli occupation forces killed 60 Palestinian children using tank-fired shells, live ammunition, and missiles dropped from weaponized drones and U.S.-sourced warplanes and Apache helicopters.
The most recent spike in child killings occurred in 2018 when Israeli forces and settlers killed Palestinian children at an average pace exceeding one child per week. That year, 57 Palestinian children were killed by Israeli forces and settlers. The majority of those killings occurred during the March of Return protests in the Gaza Strip, according to documentation gathered by Defense for Children International - Palestine.
Since 2000, over 2,198 Palestinian children have been killed as a result of Israeli military and settler presence in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, according to DCIP's documentation.
