114 Israeli violations against journalists in 2020

Ramallah (QNN)- 114 Israeli violations against Palestinian journalists were documented during the first half of 2020, including 21 violations that took place in June only, reported WAFA.

During its monthly report about the Israeli violations against journalists, WAFA revealed that the Israeli forces continue to target and arrest journalists with a systematic policy that aims to obscure the truth and repress the freedom of expression to cover the Israeli crimes.

The report added that 114 violations were detected during the tie between the beginning of January and the end of June.

The total number of journalists, who were shot by Israeli bullets and tear gas canisters, is estimated at 51.

59 journalists were arrested while in four cases, Israeli forces attacked media institutions and confiscated equipment.

The violations took the forms of arrests, beatings, evictions from Al Aqsa mosque, direct shootings, and confiscation of equipment.
