11 killed, including child, in Israeli bombardment of Gaza, Health Ministry confirms
Besieged Gaza Strip (QNN)- Eleven people were killed and over 80 civilians were wounded, so far, in the Israeli airstrikes on the coastal enclave as ‘Israel’ announced the launch of a new military operation on Friday.
Including a 5-year-old girl and a senior Islamic Jihad leader, the Health Ministry in Gaza confirmed that 11 people have been killed and at least 80 others have been wounded and treated at hospitals as a result of the Israeli strikes which started on Friday afternoon, adding 45% of the injuries in the ongoing Israeli airstrikes are women and children.
The Israeli attacks targeted different areas: Khan Yunis and Rafah in the south of the strip, al-Shuja’iya neighborhood in the north, and a residential building in central Gaza.
Multiple blasts could be heard and seen throughout Gaza. Israeli reconnaissance drones could also be heard hovering over the besieged strip.
About one hour ago, the occupation warplanes targeted an empty agricultural land, east of Khan Yunis city, killing a Gazan youth and injuring at least four others.
