10 Civilians Killed in Israeli Strike on Syria’s Adra
Damascus (Quds News Network)- Ten people were killed on Sunday in an Israeli airstrike on a facility in Adra, near Damascus.
Syrian media reported that the target was a weapons depot in the Adra industrial zone, about 30 kilometers from Damascus. The attack is the result of an Israeli strike, media sources suggested.

However, an Israeli military source told AFP in occupied Jerusalem that the army “did not strike the area.”
Syrian media reported that most of those killed were civilians.
Israel has conducted hundreds of airstrikes on Syrian military facilities since the fall of former President Bashar al-Assad’s regime on December 8. Israel claims the strikes aim to prevent such facilities from falling into ‘hostile hands’.
As Syrian rebels claimed victory over Damascus and Bashar al-Assad fled, Israel acted swiftly, moving forces into southern Syria and occupying strategic areas like Al-Sheikh Mountain. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared the collapse of the 1974 disengagement agreement, citing the Syrian army’s withdrawal as justification.
Israeli airstrikes targeted hundreds of sites across Syria, including missile systems, weapons depots, and military research facilities. The strikes aim to prevent advanced weaponry, including chemical arms, from falling into the hands of the opposition, which Israel sees as potential threats.
