10 citizens killed in major Israeli assault on northern West Bank cities
Occupied West Bank (Quds News Network)- Israeli forces killed ten citizens and injured more than 11 others in a series of assaults on northern West Bank cities, including Jenin, Tubas, and Tulkarm, late last night and early this morning. The offensive, involving warplanes, drones, and a significant number of military vehicles, triggered intense clashes withresistance fighters.
The Israeli military imposed a blockade on Jenin, Tubas, and Tulkarm, deliberately obstructing emergency response teams from reaching the wounded. In Jenin, Israeli forces stormed the city from Al-Jalameh checkpoint and surrounded the Jenin Governmental Hospital and Ibn Sina Hospital, leading to violent confrontations. Two young men, Qassam Muhammad Jabbareen, 25, and Asim Walid Dabayya, 39, were killed, and several others were injured.
In a separate incident, an Israeli drone targeted a vehicle between the villages of Sir and Misliya, south of Jenin, killing three young men inside. In Tubas, four Palestinians were killed in an Israeli drone strike on Al-Far’a refugee camp, south of the city, early this morning. The Red Crescent reported that Israeli forces prevented their teams from accessing the targeted area, imposing a tight siege on Al-Far’a camp.
The four victims from Tubas were identified as brothers Murad and Muhammad Masoud Ja’aisa, aged 13 and 17, respectively, along with Ibrahim Abdul Qader Ghanaymi, 22, and Ahmed Saleh Nabarisi, 23. The Israeli military had entered the camp in the middle of the night with a large number of infantry soldiers, followed by reinforcements from the Hamra checkpoint, accompanied by bulldozers. Snipers were positioned inside and around the refugee camp, with extensive drone surveillance overhead.
In Tulkarm, Israeli forces entered the city from the west, spreading throughout its neighborhoods. Israeli snipers and infantry units were stationed in the surrounding fields and farms, with drones hovering overhead. The Israeli military besieged Al-Isra Specialist Hospital and Thabet Thabet Hospital, obstructing the movement of ambulances and detaining one in front of the governmental hospital.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health warned of the dangers posed by the Israeli blockade of hospitals in Jenin and Tulkarm and the threats to storm them, describing it as a direct threat to the lives of patients and medical staff. The Ministry called on the international community and the Red Cross to intervene to protect medical institutions, emphasizing that obstructing ambulance access endangers lives, violating human rights and international humanitarian law.
