UN Report: 38,000 Women and Girls Killed by Israel in Gaza as Violations Persist Despite Ceasefire

More than 38,000 women and girls have been killed by Israel in Gaza, as a UN Women report warns that Israeli violations continue and the ceasefire has failed to stop the ongoing toll on civilians.

Gaza (QNN)- A new report by UN Women reveals that more than 38,000 women and girls were killed in Gaza by Israel between October 2023 and December 2025, highlighting the devastating and ongoing impact of the Israeli violations of Trump's  ceasefire.

The report shows that at least 22,000 women and 16,000 girls lost their lives during this period. That figure reflects an average of at least 47 women and girls killed each day. The findings point to a sustained pattern of violence that has continued to affect civilians long after the ceasefire announced in October 2025.

According to the report, killings of women and girls have not fully stopped in recent months. This trend signals that the risks remain severe and that safety conditions have not stabilized on the ground.

The report, titled The Cost of the War in Gaza on Women and Girls, also documents widespread injuries. Nearly 11,000 women and girls suffered wounds that led to permanent disabilities, adding to the long-term humanitarian burden.

UN Women warns that the real number of casualties inflicted by Israel is likely higher. Many victims remain trapped under rubble, and the collapse of health information systems due to the ongoing Israeli blockade has made it difficult to record deaths and injuries accurately.

Moez Doraid said the war has deeply reshaped Palestinian society. He noted that tens of thousands of households are now led by women, many of whom face growing economic pressure while carrying the full responsibility of caregiving and survival.

“The impact of the war on women and girls has been devastating,” Doraid said, stressing that the humanitarian crisis continues even after the ceasefire.

He called for full implementation of the ceasefire and respect for international law. He also urged stronger accountability measures and the protection of women and girls, alongside the delivery of large-scale humanitarian aid without restrictions.
