'Israel' killed 38 Palestinians on Hebron's checkpoints last 4 years
Occupied Hebron (QNN)- Israeli occupation forces and illegal settlers have executed 38 Palestinians and wounded and arrested several others on Hebron's military checkpoints since 2015, reported Hebron's Reconstruction Committee.
Researcher in the committee, Hasan Salameen, stated that the settlement policy of the occupation state in Hebron is based on two pillars; first isolating the old city to prevent access or exit, and second dismemberment of the old city and forming small separated cantons to force native Palestinians to leave. That is why the occupation state depends on creating more military checkpoint where executions and arrests are routinely carried out.
Salameen added that there are over 100 military checkpoints in the city, which is located on nearly 74 km2. This means that there are more than a military checkpoint for each square kilometer.
Israeli authorities closed 40 entrances to the city and created seven checkpoints, through which Palestinians can leave or access the city.
Israeli forces have detained and kidnapped more than 23,000 Palestinians across the occupied West Bank and eastern Jerusalem since the start of the Gaza genocide, according to the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club, which warns of escalating abuses, mass arrests of women and children, and thousands held under enforced disappearance.
