Occupied Palestinian territory (QNN)- Israeli bulldozers and forces headed on Wednesday towards a house in Ar’ara owned by Palestinians to demolish it.
Local sources said that the house belongs to Ibrahim Marzouq family. Arrests and assaults were carried out also during demolition.
Israeli soldiers assaulted the son of the house owner after he raised his voice against the demolition of his house. 20 Israeli soldiers attacked and brutally beat him before they arrested him.
The Israeli authorities have issued demolition notices against over 50 houses and shops during this year under the pretext of constructing illegal buildings without permissions.
Only seven percent of the building permits issued in Jerusalem over the past few years have gone to Palestinian neighborhoods where 40 percent of the city’s population lives, according to statistics obtained by Haaretz.
