Occupied Jerusalem (QNN)- About 180,000 worshipers performed Friday prayer at the Al Aqsa mosque on the first Friday of Ramadan. Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces imposed restrictions, preventing thousands of worshipers from reaching the holy mosque. Israeli forces installed several checkpoints around the holy occupied city of Jerusalem and strengthened procedures aiming at banning thousands of Palestinians from the occupied West Bank to reach the Al Aqsa mosque. France Press Agency quoted Sheik Azzam Khatib saying that "around 180,000 worshipers reached the Al Aqsa mosque despite all checkpoints and intensive presence of Israeli forces". Israeli forces banned West Bank men over 40 and children below 12 from entering occupied Jerusalem on Fridays of Ramadan.
