Occupied West Bank (QNN)- Israeli occupation forces have arrested Tuesday journalist Muhammad Ateeq from Burqeen village in the occupied West Bank.
A group of Israeli soldiers broke into the house of Ateeq’s father then arrested the journalist and took him to an unknown destination after searching and vandalizing the house.
Israeli forces have arrested 22 Palestinians in the early dawn hours in different areas of the occupied West Bank.
Last July witnissed increased numbers of Israeli assaults on journalism. The Journalist Support Committee has documented 64 assaults on freedom of the press in Palestine.
Journalist Muhammad Ateeq (26 years old) is from Burqeen, Jenin. He works as a freelancer for several local media outlets.
