Ramallah (QNN)- Over 400 Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli jails ended on Monday a mass hunger strike after the Israeli Prison Service (IPS) agreed to meet their demands.
The IPS agreed to remove cancerous jamming devices and prevent any future installation of such devices, in addition to the installation of payphones in all sections, which encouraged the prisoners to end their hunger strike.
The Palestinian Prisoners Club said that the prisoners will be allowed to use the payphones three times a week. The payphones will be installed also in the women’s and children’s prisons.
The IPS also agreed to transfer the female and sick prisoners from the Damon and Ramleh prisons to other jails of better conditions.
