Ramallah (QNN)- Ramez Tamimi (14 years old) from Deir Nizam village in northern Ramallah was reported missing on last Sunday, after his family lost hope to find him.
However, on Wednesday the Palestinian liaison committee informed the child’s family that their son has been arrested and that he is now in Ofer Israeli military jail.
Israeli occupation forces have been raiding houses for three days looking for the child, who is accused of allegedly throwing stones at Israeli armed soldiers.
Palestinian children arrests have been raised recently especially in the occupied West Bank. 20 children have been arrested in Deir Nizam village only during 2018.
The same village witnessed repeated storming of its school in addition to arrests among students and teachers. Poisonous gas and stun grenades have been also thrown inside classes not mentioning shooting inside the school.
The village also suffers from repeated closure of its entrances leaving only one way, which serves settlers of a neighboring illegal settlement, opened.
